Agenda Item #24 Title APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION FOR THE NORTH PORT HIGH SCHOOL - EXPANDED DINING PROJECT Description Under the terms of the 11/18/2008 (Item #30) Board approved "Agreement between Owner and Construction Manager for Pre-Construction and Bidding Services", the Executive Director of Construction Services and two (2) members of the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) have successfully negotiated a contract with McIntyre Elwell & Strammer General Contractors, Inc. for the North Port High School - Expanded Dining project. This contract was negotiated on 2/20/2009. The 11/18/2008 agreement included pre-construction and bidding services only. This Contract for Construction allows for the actual construction of the project. The scope includes construction of an addition of approximately 5,000 square feet, to be located on the east side of the existing dining room. This project shall also include two (2) new serving lines. The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of this contract is $895,312.00. This contract is available for review at the Construction Services Department. The School Board attorney has approved the use of this contract. Funds for this contract are available in the project budget account.
